News From Around The School
5-6 Griffith
This term in 5/6 Griffith we have worked on a variety of projects. We have been doing a lot of work with decimals in numeracy which you will see in the evidence of learning that we are sending home. For the remainder of the term, we will be looking at converting between common units of length!!!
We also looked at the key components of biographies and autobiographies before making autobiographies of our own. Currently, we are creating our own gods or goddesses and will be writing narrative stories about them.
This term we have been taking part in the Kitchen/Garden program that culminates in a weekly meal prepared and served by the students where we all sit down and eat together.
Some of our artisitc work on perspective.

We had a fantastic day at the Sustainability Centre at Mt Nelson. The centre provides great opportunities to learn about the environment - it is such a fun place to visit.
We were divided into groups and took part in different activities throughout the day. We made roll-on perfume - orange and peppermint scented!
We created lavender scented chemical free body scrub.
We also let loose in the bush building animal habitats.
We love excursions.
